make me a drink

There are many cocktails that can be made from whiskey. Some are traditional whiskey drinks, and some aren't. These whiskey-based drinks are available in cans or ready-to drink containers. These can be kept in a cooler, and they don't require separate glasses.

Root beer

American farm brewers developed small beer recipes for their families in the 18th-century. These first versions had as low as 2% alcohol and were called "root beer". Charles Hires was the first to commercialize root beer in 1876. Many of its supporters promoted its medicinal benefits. Bartenders were experimenting with the drink, mixing it with other alcohol beverages in the early part of the 20th Century. One of the first cocktails to incorporate root beer was the Jack Daniels and Coca-Cola mix.

Ginger ale

Ginger ale is a wonderful mixer for whiskey. Its combination with lime and ginger makes it a refreshing drink that complements whiskey very well. The bourbon helps to relax the body while the flavors of ginger and lime refresh the palate.

It will require whiskey, bourbon, and apple cider. Divide the mixture in two 16-ounce cans. Add vanilla bean pods, cinnamon sticks, and other spices. The mixture can be kept in an airtight container up to one week. After this time, taste the drink and adjust the flavors as needed. When you are ready, pour the drink into chilled rocks glasses.

You can find the perfect drink to go with your whiskey or simply to enjoy the spirit as it is. Drambuie is a Scottish liqueur made from the same ingredients as whisky. Scotch malt from different parts of Scotland, honey and spices are the main ingredients. It is not readily available everywhere but is readily available at many liquor stores and online sellers. Drambuie is not like other spirits.

The Jack & Coke with whiskey is a well-known cocktail. It consists of Coca-Cola mixed with Tennesse whiskey. Because of its simple flavor profile, it is a good introduction to whiskey. The cocktail can be found at almost all bars. It's also available in a sugarless version.

How To

How to make the Best Brandy Alex Recipe

The first step in any cocktail recipe is to find the right ingredients. We're using Cognac to make this drink. It is a French spirit made from fermented grapes. You'll often see it aged for a while in oak barrels. Cognac can be purchased at specialty liquor stores or online retailers such as Amazon.com.

Next, we'll add some simple syrup. Simple syrup is sugar dissolved into water. Let's melt 1 cup of granulated sugar in a small saucepan on medium heat. Stir until the sugar completely dissolves (about five minutes). Add enough cold tap water to cover the sugar by 2 inches. Allow to rest overnight. Strain the sugar crystals using cheesecloth. Discard them. You can store the liquid in your fridge for up 3 weeks in an airtight glass container.

We're going to mix Cognac and simple maple syrup together for our Brandy Alexander cocktail. In a shaker, add the Cognac and half of the ice cubes. Add the simple syrup to the remainder of the shaker. For 10 seconds, shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled martini glasses. Top off the Brandy Alexander with a splash of soda water and garnish with a lemon twist.
